RESCUE READY – CPR • AED • Critical Bleeding Control

Rescue Ready is a 3–4 hour hands-on course that combines CPR, AED use, and critical bleeding control in one session. It is designed for families, workplaces, schools, coaches, caregivers, outdoor groups, and other people who want practical emergency skills without a medical background.

What you will practice

CPR

• Recognizing cardiac arrest and activating EMS
• CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Compression technique and ventilation options

AED use

• When and how to use an AED
• Pad placement
• Following device prompts safely
• Integrating AED use with CPR

Critical bleeding control

• Recognizing life-threatening bleeding
• Tourniquet application
• Wound packing and hemostatic gauze
• Direct pressure and pressure dressings
• Initial bleeding-control decisions under stress

Course format

The class emphasizes hands-on practice with CPR manikins, AED trainers, bleeding simulators, and medical equipment. The goal is to make the first useful actions easier to remember and perform—not to promise perfect performance in a real emergency.
